Caseys' Translucency

CASEYS' TRANSLUCENCY is a high-quality vellum like paper designed for laser printers and copiers. Screen Printers use this laser printer output as a positive for burning screens. This is an inexpensive alternative to using a camera and film. Why? Because Caseys' Translucency is less expensive than film and saves the cost of a camera. Caseys' is also more durable and more stable than other vellums, meaning it won't shrink and wreck your separations. Finally, Caseys' Translucency is designed specifically for use with laser printers and copiers and won't jam or damage your printer like cheaper drafting vellum. Paper like wood has a grain. Caseys' Translucency is cut so that the grain runs the long length of the paper. This is called Grain Long GL. This is done because it appears to provide the fewest paper jams.
There is an exception which is the Universal size 13" X 18.5" which is cut grain short GS. Laser printers for some reason appear to work best with GS when printing the Universal size.

Caseys' Translucency appears opaque to visible light, but it is transparent to Ultra Violet light which screen printers use to burn screens. For a darker image from your laser printer, try using our fixative spray Caseys' Ultra Black.
